Participants climbed 65 stories to honor fallen fire fighters who lost their lives in the Twin Towers on 9/11. GMC and Liberty Properties were two of the main sponsors and GMC offered top fundraisers the opportunity to win a GMC truck by throwing a football 30 yards or so into a truck window, two of which were Dalton Carpet One’s owner, Curtis Blanton, and Regional Membership Consultant for the Southeast Region, Deb Giroux!

All proceeds benefitted the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, including their Building for America’s Bravest program which builds specifically adapted, custom smart homes for our nation’s most catastrophically injured service members.

The team from Georgia included members from Rabern Nash Carpet One Floor & Home, Top Floors Carpet One Floor & Home, Etowah Carpet One Floor & Home and Dalton Carpet One Floor & Home.  Together, they raised $15,000 of the total $50,000 that was raised at the event, in memory of Dalton Carpet One’s owner and founder Mike Blanton who passed away in March of this year. Blanton was an enthusiastic supporter of the Building for America’s Bravest program and participated in one of the first smart homes built through the program for CPL Todd Love.
